Crossroads

"And of some have compassion, making a difference:
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."
- Jude 1:22 & 23.

When you boil everything down, there are really only two things that motivate everyone. Everyone is motivated by either "what they are running from" or "what they are running to".

Think about it....your motivation to rise up each morning and go to work....either for a recognition, promotion, and a paycheck, or to keep from being fired. Your motivation to go to church....either for the expectation of receiving from God, or to keep the pastor and the people from talking about your absence.

If we are honest with ourselves, we either run the race of life pulled by love....or pushed by fear.

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." - Phillipians 3:13 & 14.

Beloved, there is an encounter looming on the horizon. It is inevitable....unavoidable....and, very soon, impossible to ignore.

Back in the Garden of Eden, God created mankind with a specific destiny in mind. He placed Adam and Eve on this earth to fulfill a destiny that He had determined and written before the earth was hung in space. However, Satan also had a destiny in mind for mankind....and, unfortunately, due to a choice that was made by Adam and Eve, both destinies became a reality...driving mankind throughout the course of history.

Up until this point, those two destinies have dwelt together...the children of God driven by a destiny made possible by the blood our our savior Jesus Christ - resulting in the Redemption of Man and the Glorifying of God; the children of Satan driven by a destiny made possible by the choice made in the garden of Eden - resulting in the Destruction of Man and the Glorifying of Satan. Until now, these two destinies have coexisted and cohabited....but not for much longer.

Can't you feel it? Can't you sence it? The world and the church are both racing toward a dramatic and climactic conclusion. The two destinies that have ran side by side on parrallel tracks are now on a collision course of which the crossroads where they will meet is very near. In the next few days ahead, we will be driven by either the Fear that that fuels Satan's train, or the Love that fuels God's. The choice to make the switch from one train to the other will be equally strong and equally motivating on both sides. The choices we make in the next few days will determine what train we are riding on when the two destinies meet and also determine our eternal fate on an individual level.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." - Joshua 24:15

Very soon, everyone will have to choose between "what is right, and what is easy." Beloved, the choices you make from this point on must be conscious...intentional....every day. Time is running out and the choice we make today may be the choice that seals our eternal destiny.
