1.) Reading God's Word -
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17.
In order to "know" God - communicate with Him - and build a storehouse He will dwell in, one must first know His language. For example, someone may live near people of another nationality, such as Hispanics, and be close enough to hear an Hispanic group conversing in the Spanish language - but if that person does not "know" the language; he/she may hear the words being spoken, but will not be able to understand or gain knowledge/instruction from it. The same holds true for the believer. Many Christians today do not "hear" the voice of God simply because they do not know His language! God speaks in the language of the Bible!
If one truly wants communion and fellowship with God, he/she will read His word! Let Watchmen be frank and concise - if the only time someone reads the Bible is at church - that person is not a true disciple of Jesus and will not survive or "endure till the end"! Many believers today are easily deceived and tempted by Satan simply because they do not know God's word. Remember, the word of God is our sword! (Ephesians 6:17) - without it, you are weaponless and no threat to Satan!
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15.
There are several ways to read and study God's word, but the two most productive ones are "saturation" and "meditation".
Saturation - First, make sure it is a good study Bible - preferably King James Version, as in most other versions are inaccurate and corrupt. Today's world is one of technology and innovation - we have the whole Bible on cassette, CD, video, and even mp3 - so, take advantage of every opportunity and moment you have - as you work, prepare meals, clean the house, drive, walk, relax - fill your mind with God's word.
The object of "saturation" is not to concentrate on a small amount/one chapter; but to inundate/flood/saturate your mind. The human mind has been blessed by God with the ability to record every second of life - every sight, sound, taste, touch, smell, etc. Filling your mind with His word will create a protective barrier and fortress against the enemy and his attacks - furthermore, "as a man thinks in his heart(mind), so is he." (Proverbs 23:7). Basically stated, "Garbage in....garbage out."
Meditation - This is where you take a small amount of scripture and really consume it, digest it, dwell on it. Whether it is a chapter/verse you are wanting to understand more/better; or you are "led" to a particular part of the Bible and the Holy Spirit has something in mind that He wants to teach you - show you - reveal more about God through it to you - this is where you will discover, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the "secret riches" and "hidden manna" of God. This will begin to give you "ears to hear" when God speaks the "intimate" things about Himself to you. You will also have more powerful weapons of warfare with which to engage the enemy!

HAVE YOU CHECKED YOURSELF LATELY? (PART #2)
In part one of this series, we spoke to you about checking yourself, you and God, to make sure everything was ok. We challenged you to take a look at your walk, and your relationship with God, to see just how things were. It doesn’t take a prophet coming to your house to tell you where you stand with God, you know if your prayer life is just repetition and no power in it. You know what sins you are hiding from everyone else, but God, even though the Bible says to get rid of it, you still have it. You may fool me, your pastor, and your friends but one thing is certain, deep down inside you KNOW things aren’t right.
We also told you in part one that it was time to take this seriously, for the coming tribulation is soon upon us, and those not taking time to “check” themselves and make things right with God in this manner would not make it. The question occurs to me, how does one know in checking that you have repaired what is broken? First of all, how do you know what to check for, and second how do you know it is fixed? My friend, thank God we have a checklist and an answer!
This checklist, this guide, I speak of is most important. Without it, many of us could sit here and say; “I’m fine, I’m doing the best I can do and that meets any criteria”. Without this guide line we could all say we are ok, we need no warnings, we are preparing and doing all things right. This guide I speak of is called --- are you ready for it? ---- here it comes:
THE B-I-B-L-E! (aka, The Word of God)
I am so thankful today that we have a guide to go by, a judge to tell us what is right, and what is wrong. I am glad we are not mindless puppets who rely on CNN TV reporters and White House spin doctors to tell us what is right and what is wrong. God has given us the light of his word, wrote down and preserved thru the centuries for us to know him and what he expects and commands of us to do. TV reporter’s words will fail and lie to you, government politician’s words will fail and lie to you, but the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any sword, more powerful than a speeding locomotive and faster than a speeding bullet. This word, God’s word, is so powerful when one dare’s to believe in it, it protects them, keeps them, shows them the right path to walk in, reveals light from evil, a good road from one that is full of land mines waiting to destroy you.
If you have not figured it out by now, I am giving you practical lessons to preparing for the coming storm, and the horrible tribulation we must endure. I am giving you the “How to’s” as well as diagnosing the problem. And first and foremost, we must begin to fall in love with his word, we must begin to know it like we know our TV Guide, like our Sunday news paper. Oh, come now, I bet you could tell me just where to look in those periodicals for the next episode of a soap opera, or movie, but you would stumble to find what God spoke to Moses on the mountain top in exodus. By the way that was the ten commandments to help you out. The first step in preparation begins by knowing his word, believing his word, and applying it in everyday life.
I leave you with a thought from the book of James. The “doer” of the word – ( one who applies it and lives it in everyday life) is the one righteous and justified before God – NOT THE HEARER! I challenge you today, get to reading his word now, saturate your mind with his powerful breath, it will change you, I promise.

HAVE YOU CHECKED YOURSELF LATELY?
Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart. (2 CHRONICLES 32:31)
I want to speak to you from my heart today. I want you to be honest and ask yourself a question as you read this devotional today, have you checked yourself lately?
Before we leave the house, we will make sure to stop and check ourselves to make sure we have our keys, our cell phone, or wallet or purse. Before we go on long trips, we make sure to check that we have everything we need to endure that journey. Strange isn't that we will worry about those things with such fierceness? I wonder how the church, the body of Christ, would be if we applied such firceness to checking ourselves with how we are with God?
I wonder how our own spiritual walk with God would be, if we stopped for a moment, in our busy schedules, just to check and say; "How do God and I stand with each other, right now?". I think we would have a church that once again walked in the power and fellowship of the book of Acts, and yes, you can walk in the power of the book of Acts, TODAY! Not anywhere in the Bible does it proclaim we cannot and do not let any preachers tell you any different, but I digress.
Our own personal walk would be adversely affected as well. No longer would our prayer life be powerless, our witness to a lost and backslidden world be useless and hypocritical. Done away would be the "pet" sins and secret temptations we hold on too, that hold us back from walking in victory and authority. Porn sites on your computer would be deleted, you would have more money in your wallet, and the greed for it out of your heart. Yes, things would definitely change, if we would stop and "check ourselves" just to see the garbage and sins in our heart before God was forced to, as he did with the king in the above scripture.
I challenge you reader. We have warned you of a coming storm, are you preparing? Are you taking this warning seriously, and preparing yourself, in your heart, to weather the storm and meet your God? Are you cutting off what needs to be cut off and crucifing what needs to be nailed to a cross, in your life? Are you cleaning house in your heart? Listen to the words of the Apostle Paul:
"For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. " (GALATIANS 2: 19-20)
I don't ask you, are you crucified today, that would be premature. I am asking, and God is asking, are you climbing up the tree today, or are you with the crowd below the cross, watching?
Preperation begins now.

JUST ENOUGH TIME TO GET READY
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
(Genesis 7:4)
And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous. (Genesis 41:30-31)
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)
I wonder what would have happened had Noah, in the scripture above, would have waited a couple of months to figure out if he had heard from God or not? If he had took a couple of months to put out fleeces, try the spirit, and call someone he knew who could be a “spirit checker” to tell him if he was listening to God or going crazy, what would have happened? I know what would have happened, read your Bible, the Ark would have been finished TOO LATE, and Noah and his family would have perished in the flood with the rest of humanity.
What would have happened had Joseph, interpreting the dream of the coming famine from God, waited a couple of years to get with regional leaders and the heads of state to plan meetings and strategies layouts on how to approach building storehouses and filling them with grain? Look at the scripture reference above, the Bible records that when that famine hit, it was so bad that it consumed the provision Joseph had stored, and that the storehouse grain wasn’t even remembered, it was quickly forgotten in the people as they were starving during the end of this horrible time. Had Joseph waited too long, and not acted on the warning from God, Through a heathen Pharaoh of all people, RIGHT THEN, he would not had enough grain to sustain the people through the famine.
Here is what I am saying to you today, and it is the most important word you will here from Watchmen of the Wall Ministries:
YOU DO NOT HAVE TIME TO WAIT AROUND. YOU MUST ACT ON THE WARNINGS NOW! WAITING TOO LONG TO BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD WE HAVE BEEN WARNING TO YOU WILL CAUSE YOU TO NOT HAVE WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE COMING TRIBULATION!
Let me put it very simple, God has a timing and a purpose to his timing. When he gives out a warning to prepare, you MUST act on it then and there, because the provision he has for you begins building right then, and is exactly enough for you to be sustained in the coming storm. It took Noah right up until 7 days before the flood came to finish the Ark, it took Joseph all the way to the time of the famine, to store enough grain to save Egypt and his people the Jews. Had these men, and others, not obeyed the warning of God right then, automatically moving into action to obey the word, there ark would not have been finished in time, there storehouse would not be completed in time. YOU MUST ACT NOW!
Beloved, look at our last reference, Jesus told us the coming storm would be worse than any flood, any famine, anything that anybody has seen yet. It will be so bad that it would destroy even the very elect of God, if that were possible. I don’t think that will happen, because I believe right now, there are people on their knees, getting a hold of God, and preparing to meet the coming tribulation. It is coming, we will see more of it than preachers are saying we will. We have to endure some of it. Are you building your storehouse of Holy Ghost faith and strength now? Are you building an Ark of the presence of God to protect you and your family right now? If not, by the word of the Lord, you and your family will die. I pray today you act now, before it is too late.

PREPARING FOR THE COMING STORM
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. (Genesis 4:7)
Most of us, who spend time in the Lord and in his word, think we have things well covered. We think because we went to the bookstore and bought the fanciest Bible they have we are well protected. We think because we have joined a church, we have just put shields up around our house. We think because we have joined a prayer group at work, or place of worship, that we are in a place that the wicked one, (Satan), cannot touch us! I proclaim to you today, all these things, although nice, do not protect you from being hit by Satan, not for one minute.
Now we know, those who have not given their lives over to Jesus Christ have NO HOPE! They are puppets at the beck and call of Satan, being used whenever he wants too. But, to the Christian, there is one, and only one way to "Cut the puppet strings" of Satan in your life, for all the above "Rituals" will not protect you. And before I give the key to you, I must also warn you, and I will get right to the point here, I speak to all Christians now:
THERE IS COMING A TIME, AND IT WILL BEGIN VERY SOON, THAT DEMONS AND DEVILS WILL BE SET LOOSE AND GIVEN FREE REIGN, FOR A SEASON. FEAR AND DEPRESSION AND ALL CAUGHT IN "SECRET" SINS WILL BE SWEPT UP IN THIS MOVE. YOU WILL NOT STAND IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!
Yes, you are reading me right, for I give you a warning! Those who are rebellious, unwilling to repent, not wanting to accept Christ as Saviour, and professing Christians who refuse to prepare for the coming persecution will be swept away, God is not a "respecter of persons". You will not stand, no matter how many sermons you preached, sunday schools you've taught, or people you've led to the Lord in the distant past, those credits do not make God "ooze" with protection automatically for you! Have you gotten rid of the ties the world has in you? Are you holding on to "secret" sins against God? Here is the danger with secret sins, it makes you think God is winking at you, allowing you to continue in that sin because it (The Sin) makes you think God understands your "special" condition to hold on to it. But God is saying to his church, right now -- REPENT, REPENT - for I come quickly, and remove my presence from you, unless you REPENT!
Oh Christian, I told you I would give you the key to cutting Satan's puppet strings, and here it is:
SPENDING TIME IN THE PRESENCE OF JESUS, IN PRAYER, UNTIL HE COMES IN THE ROOM AND CHANGES YOU!
My friend, without Holy Ghost movement in your prayers it is nothing that will help you in the coming storm. You can have the glory that filled the temple in your house! You can have the presence that spoke to Jesus on the mount of Transfiguation in your life! Jesus paid the price so that we could not only have this presence, but walk in this power every day. The key is not how much you did for God in the past, it is this;
DID YOU SPEND TIME IN HIS PRESENCE YESTERDAY? ARE YOU SPENDING TIME IN HIS PRESENCE TODAY?
